Transformational impact of the 5G network architecture extends right from radio access to the optical metro and core segments. Complex network functions are decoupled from traditional hardware equipment and realized as software applications in the cloud. Dynamic resource management across all layers is a must. It is imperative to upgrade to a high performance and highly reliable end-to-end Optical Fiber network that cost-effectively fulfils end-user demands.

Active player in evolving India’s 5G Strategy

Tejas is an active player in shaping India’s 5G strategy and also contributes to the global 5G standards through its work in TSDSI - India’s telecom Standards Development Organization, to ensure that both Indian and emerging market needs are fully incorporated in the upcoming standards. Tejas was part of drafting and subsequent acceptance of India’s TSDSI candidate Low Mobility Large Cell (LMLC) for rural coverage of 5G services.

Software-defined Hardware

Tejas has adopted a novel software-defined hardware architecture that enables quick and cost-effective delivery of highly differentiated network solutions to telecom service providers. Tejas products can seamlessly transcend multiple technology generations (2G/3G to 4G/5G) without network disruption and can scale from a few megabits to multi-terabits of switching capacity within the same shelf. The approach also allows for easy upgrade to next-generation technologies through simple software upgrades.

5G Ready Products

Tejas’ cutting-edge optical and wireless products not only cater to greenfield implementations of 5G but also to support the move from legacy systems to 5G transport.

Ultra Converged Broadband Access
High Performance Crosshaul Solutions
Massively Scalable Multi-Terabit Products
Multi-Layered SDN Ready Network Management

Operators must look to maximize reuse of existing network equipment in order to realize a cost-effective optical transmission infrastructure with adequate flexibility and scalability.
