Mission-Critical Network Solutions
Strategic Communication Products: Tejas family of PDH, SDH/SONET, Carrier Ethernet and WDM products is designed to withstand the challenges of mission-critical performance in strategic military networks. We offer a range of multiservice products ranging from compact 1U Access multiplexers, mid-sized Regional Hub nodes with flexible legacy TDM and next-generation Ethernet data cards to high-end Core Aggregation equipments with heavy-duty packet and circuit switching. Tactical Communication Products: Tactical Communication Products: Tejas offers a portfolio of carrier-class switches and routers that can be used in tactical installations. Our products support advanced routing features and support for legacy radio interfaces. The platforms can work in extreme temperatures, provide EMI immunity, support challenging shock and vibration standards for deployments in harsh conditions. Tejas also provides military-grade switches for use in third-party military systems based on VME chassis. Tactical Optical Multiplexors and Desktop Access Units for Unit-level deployments are part of the Tejas portfolio for Tactical communications.

Networking Platforms and Sub-systems: Tejas has a range of telecom platforms and networking subsystems that are built with Programmable Technology. These platforms can be tailored for security and communication analysis applications. TJ1306 is a Bulk Encryption platform to encrypt high-speed traffic from E1 rates up to 2.5Gbps rates. TJ2930 is a modular highly customizable system with a design that can morph from a Tactical Router to a multiprotocol encryption unit or a communication analysis platform. Similarly for installations deeper in the network, the TJ1600LE platform provides platform capable of operation at 10Gigabit line rates. It can be used as a lambda encryptor and as a network analysis system and supports TDM and packet interfaces with the same hardware. All these platform have an open architecture to permit partners and authorized defence agencies to customize the system by embedding highly secure, military approved encryption algorithms and features.

Command and Control: Tejas SDH/SONET, Carrier Ethernet and DWDM based optical transport platforms provide the vital communication infrastructure that underpin military command and control. Our solutions enable defence networks to migrate their strategic infrastructure from legacy PDH devices to SDH/SONET, lower-speed data interfaces to high-bandwidth IP/Ethernet and from copper or microwave in the last-mile to fiber media. Abundant bandwidth is made available to deliver next-generation packet voice, imaging data and video applications in the near future.
Tactical Field Operations: Tejas tactical routers and switching solutions are ruggedized and graded for flexible deployment in a variety of temporary installations such as in radar shelters, vehicular installations on battle tanks, man-portable shoulder packs or for ship-board communications. Tejas products provide extra device intelligence and information processing capabilities to the frontline forces to truly enable net centric warfare (NCW). Legacy protocols and cutting-edge technologies are seamlessly integrated in the same platform.
Critical Static or Semi-Static Installations : Tejas Access multiplexers and Carrier Ethernet switches can form integral elements of critical- area installations to secure military bases, buildings, transportation systems or even portable towers. The typical application is networked video surveillance or processing data from remote wireless motes to increase common situational awareness and improve force protection. Tejas solutions can also be used to aggregate real-time data from multiple sensor platforms and generate actionable intelligence for coordinated response between military and homeland protection agencies during emergencies.

Turnkey Development - Tejas can undertake the complete development of a defence system that fully meets the partner’s requirements. Our designs, in such cases, would usually begin with our leading edge, proven carrier-class networking technologies based on global industry standards and open-systems architectures. The same design can be suitably ruggedized as per the application requirements to meet military-grade, industry-grade or commercial characteristics with perfect software and hardware compatibility across variants. Our approach provides our customers with access to the highest performing technology available today, maximizes design re-use of both common hardware and software modules to significantly shorten lead times for delivery and reduce our partner’s overall development costs.
Joint Development – Tejas and Partner can jointly develop defence products to meet specific program requirements. Tejas can complement partner’s military development team by offering qualified R&D resources that can develop open and modular networking sub-sytems leveraging our expertise in both hardware and embedded software. The sub-system, once ready, can then be embedded with partner’s application such as certified encryption modules, specialized analysis engines or application server blades.
