TJ1600

Flexibility and High Density in a Compact Form Factor

Overview: TJ1600 POTP is a high density metro core platform encompassing TDM, OTN and Carrier Ethernet (CE) technologies. It is a single, unified platform for aggregation and transport of packets and circuits. Within 9U form factorTJ1600 comes with 9 universal slots that can accommodate a large variety of high density traffic modules.

It is ideal for the core network locations where large amounts of data and voice traffic from different sources has to be groomed and switched at wire speed. It comes with with multiple cross connect options – thus catering moderate to very high volume traffic aggregation requirements.

POTP Platform: TJ1600 is a future-proof versatile platform for the core network. It offers a seamless migration from 100% TDM to 100% packet network on the same platform. As data traffic increases the already deployed TDM box can be upgraded with packet capabilities by insertion of Packet Line cards. This leads to substantial capex savings and also a migration that's free from any service disruption.

Advanced Packet Capabilities:
The TJ1600 supports advanced features like sub 50ms protected traffic engineered tunnels, ERPS for sub 50ms ring protection, Hierarchical QoS, and Ethernet switching with MPLS-TP for Connection Oriented Ethernet. This results in increased scalability by a factor of thousands. More number of smaller units &sub-networks can be easily added as the network expands without deploying complex routing devices.

High availability:
It provides a redundant fault-tolerant design for carrier class performance. Multilevel protection scheme including SNCP, MSP, MS-SP Ring, and ERPS provides the best in class network resiliency. Redundant fabrics with hot insertion capability ensure guaranteed availability of the network.

Integrated Multi Service Delivery:
TJ1600 POTP is part of the Future Proof Transport Solution from Tejas that ensures efficient use of transport bandwidth for provisioning of voice & data services. With a migration path to OTN and its advanced packet switching technology it is a single box solution for a wide range of circuit and data based requirements.
