Tejas XTN
Making Service Providers Flexible, Scalable and Profitable
Data traffic is set to increase in service provider networks globally by several orders of magnitude. Service Providers face capex challenges in reusing their existing assets. Networks that are heavily invested in TDM equipment need to support data traffic more and more efficiently. Newer networks that are built for data (packet) traffic need to provide TDM-like stability to traditional services like voice. Coupled with this balance, greater ROI is the expectation of any service provider equipment investment, given the market demand to reduce cost-per-bit.
Tejas XTN is a unified packet optical transport platform (POTP) that can be seamlessly migrated from supporting 100% TDM traffic to 100% Data traffic. With industry-leading switching density, service providers can do more with less, i.e. achieve greater ROI on existing transport investments by converging data traffic with voice efficiently. This in turn enables them to offer new services and add new customers profitably.
Tejas XTN enables aggregation of a variety of transport technologies like SDH/SONET, Carrier Ethernet, OTN and DWDM on a single platform that allows any service to be enabled on any port.
Tejas XTN is available in two variants, TJ1400 for deployment in the access and edge and TJ1600 for deployment in the metro core.
TJ1400
µPOTP for deployment in the edge and access part of a transport network
