MSPP: TJ1610

High availability STM-64 MSPP for high data traffic core networks

Overview: The TJ1610 is a fully redundant dense STM-1/4/16/64 MSPP (both SDH & SONET versions) designed for optical backbone, high-speed point-to-point links and high-density, digital cross-connects. It comes with 10 tributary slots that can accommodate a wide range of traffic modules, Carrier Ethernet functionalities and support for DWDM interfaces.

Ideal Environment: TJ1610 is suitable for Metro aggregation locations where one needs complete equipment protection – its application space includes wireless backhaul, enterprise connectivity & real time packet distribution networks. It provides STM-1/4/16/64, E1, E3, 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet – with Layer 1/ Layer 2/ Advanced Carrier Ethernet features and DWDM interfaces.

High Density Redundant Solution: TJ1610 provides high number of traffic interfaces – for example – 80x STM-1 or 32x STM-4 from a single chassis. It provides complete equipment redundancy and comes with multiple cross connect size options to help you grow your network as traffic increases ensuring optimal capex utilization.

Carrier Ethernet: TJ1610 supports full-fledged Carrier Ethernet based on standardized PBB and PBB-TE technologies that provide unmatched scalability and Connection Oriented Ethernet. In addition to SDH/SONET protection schemes & Spanning Tree Protocol based restoration, TJ1610 also supports new packet-based protection schemes like Ethernet Ring Protection Scheme (ERPS – ITU G.8032) which guarantees sub 50ms protection switching.

Cutting Edge Network Management: TJ1610 supports ASON which enables dynamic control of transmission networks through an automated management of network resources. It results in higher resiliency through protection against multiple fiber cuts and significant improvement in capacity utilization.

Quality of Service: Tejas’ nodes implement an advanced Quality of Service that allows fine-grained differentiation and shaping of transport tunnels, customer services and sub-services. Services can be completely isolated with Virtual Rings.

Integrated Multi Service Delivery: TJ1610 is part of the Future Proof Transport Solution from Tejas that ensures efficient use of transport bandwidth for provisioning of voice & data services. While supporting SDH/SONET transport of today, its advanced packet switching technology makes it future ready.
