Tejas Element Managment System : TJ5100

Simplified SDH/SONET Network Management

Overview: TJ5100 EMS is a comprehensive sub-network management system for managing multi-domain network consisting of Tejas SDH/SONET products, Amplifiers and other vendor network elements. TJ5100 facilitates management of multi-region networks by supporting partitioning of network and flexible role based access control for partitions and user actions. TJ5100 is loaded with a host of sophisticated features including auto-discovery of networks, advanced circuit management, alarm monitoring, Virtual Network Element (VNE) support, node augmentation and hot-standby support.

Comprehensive Fault Management : Extensive fault monitoring capabilities make the TJ5100 an ideal tool for the network operator. Fault monitoring is facilitated by extensive filtering and probable cause analysis for network wide alarms. Alarm workflow features like auto-acknowledgement, alarm comments, configurable color and severity per alarm type helps users quickly identify relevant alarms. Alarm masking helps in reducing time for fault localization and rectification by facilitating users to process only relevant alarms and drastically reducing workload

Simplified Circuit Management : TJ5100 EMS reduces provisioning time by supporting bulk protected circuit creation with auto-assigned cross-connect timeslots. Multiple methods for circuit provisioning are supported for users to work efficiently with available work-order information for circuit creation. Users can create circuits by choosing end-points, copying existing circuits or even by complete path selection in topology view. Support for virtual network elements for modeling 3rd party NE cloud ensures single operation for circuit creation, deletion and modification for circuits spanning 3rd party NEs and Tejas SDH/SONET network.

Partition Management : You can partition a large network into smaller partition for easier management. TJ5100 EMS supports bulk addition of nodes in partition, partition level alarm management and circuit operations from partition view.

Virtual Network Element (VNE) Support : This feature allows modeling of Slots, Cards, Ports (SDH/SONET, PDH & Ethernet) and Circuits of third party nodes in TJ5100 EMS for an integrated view of the network. It supports cross-connect import from third party NE into the EMS and backup & restoration of configured VNE network. Thus it simplifies inventory & circuit management of multi-vendor network and significantly helps the book-keeping of cross-connects on third party equipments.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting : TJ5100 supports detailed performance monitoring, allowing for 15-minutes and 24-hour interval performance collection. In addition, it supports historical alarms, performance monitoring data, user activity logs and associated information for extended periods of time to have a historical view into the network's health. TJ5100 support a comprehensive set of reports that are exportable to a user-friendly format for further analysis.

Open Interfaces : TJ5100 supports standards compliant TMF814 north bound interface allows for easy integration with 3rd party OSS/NMS systems.

TJ5100 EMS is future-ready network management solution that enables efficient network operation for large, complex SDH/SONET networks.
