Tejas Carrier Ethernet Switching Equipment portfolio brings the latest advances in packet transport technologies into your networks with feature sets targeted towards data centric applications like 3G/Wimax backhaul, Broadband, IPTV and Enterprise Data Services.
They support features key to the successful operation of a transport networks like 50ms protection switching (Linear and Ring), end-to-end OAM, centralized provisioning and fault management, loopbacks & fault localization and performance monitoring. These features had been key to the success of SDH/SONET networks and are now available on pure packet networks through the Tejas TJ2000 family.
At the same time, these bring the best of packet technologies and implement features like connection-oriented Ethernet, Traffic Engineering, Hierarchical QoS, Packet inspection and filtering and broadcast storm control to transport networks. These features which were key to success of IP/MPLS networks were only available on high end equipment for the core. Now with the Tejas TJ2000 family these are available right from the access box to the high capacity core switch, and at a fraction of the cost.
Tejas also realizes that TDM to Packet migration won’t happen overnight and pure packet backbones would need to support legacy TDM for a few years to come. Hence Tejas TJ2000 family supports Circuit Emulation services in order to carry legacy PDH and SDH/SONET circuits through the packet core.
Support for Synchronization ensures a seamless migratiom from 3G to 4G for Cellular Service Providers. Features like IGMP snooping and proxy ensure fast channel switching with IPTV thus enabling a bandwidth optimized IPTV distribution and a superior user experience.

Access Products: Offer line rates of GigE or capacity to build one 10GigE ring. These are compact, low power consumption products and offer AC power input as an option. Products in this category include TJ2030, TJ2031, TJ2050 and TJ2051
Aggregation Products: These are high capacity packet switching platforms which support multiples of 10GigE interfaces. The products include TJ2110 which has 80Gbps of packet switching capability and TJ2210 which has 240Gbps of capacity.
