ELAN02

The ELAN02 is part of the ELAN0x series of Ethernet cards for the TJ100 Multi-service product family. The ELAN0x series enables carriers and service providers to cost-effectively add revenue-generating Carrier Ethernet services. These products provide all the advantages of Ethernet such as Packet Switching and Statistical Multiplexing, while retaining SONET/SDH for transport over fiber and for its OAM capabilities. ELAN0x series supports QoS, Security, Q-in-Q, Policing and Protection features

to provide Carrier Grade Ethernet technology, suitable for Telecom networks. In many application scenarios, the ELAN0x can replace a combination of an Ethernet switch and an MSPP with a single product providing equivalent functionality. Not only does this save on equipment cost but it also greatly simplifies network operations.

The ELAN02 cards support a maximum of 2 Gigabit Ethernet and 8 Fast Ethernet ports, each of which can be rate controlled and mapped into bundles of VC-12, VC-3 or VC-4 for end-to-end transport across the optical network. The ELAN02 cards fully complies with the Ethernet over SDH/SONET standards on virtual concatenation and Ethernet framing over SDH/SONET and dynamic bandwidth resizing as per ITU-T and ANSI.
