MIC Electronics Ltd. selects Tejas TJ100 SDH solution for Optical transmission for MTNL's DLC deployment.
Bangalore, India, May 20, 2003 : Tejas Networks, a leading company developing and selling next-generation optical networking products, announced that MIC Electronics Ltd, a leading Indian telecom and electronics equipment company, has selected its TJ100 SDH products and TejNMS Network Management System for its integrated Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) system. The integrated DLC solution, using TJ100 has been successfully supplied to Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL). MTNL is India’s premier Telecom service operator with a dominant share of the market in the metro cities of Delhi and Mumbai.

Tejas TJ100 is a family of multi-service products that enable customers to build SDH/SONET networks that can service voice as well as data applications. Traditional voice applications are serviced through E1/E3 interfaces while data applications can be serviced by rate-controllable 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces. Intelligent Network management capabilities, such as automatic discovery of topology and point-and-click provisioning are enabled by advanced software like Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) that runs on every TJ100 product. TJ100 and TejNMS provide a solution to give an integrated management interface at the central location for the remote and distributed nodes consisting of Tejas and Third-party network elements.
