TEJAS NETWORKS ANNOUNCES EXPANSION PLANS
Thiru Dayanidhi Maran, Hon'ble Union Minister for Communications & IT inaugurates their new facilities and state-of-the-art optical networking labs in Bangalore
Bangalore, India, July 15, 2005 : - Tejas Networks, a leader in next-generation SDH/SONET products, today announced their expansion plans for additional facilities and headcount in line to support their growing business. Thiru. Dayanidhi Maran, Hon'ble Union Minister of Communications & IT, Government of India, today inaugurated the company's new facilities and state-of-the-art optical networking labs in Bangalore.
The new facility, covering an area of over 70,000 sq. ft. will house all the R&D groups, optical networking labs, advanced customer training center in addition to being the corporate headquarters. Tejas plans to add 100 people during this financial year as it expands its customer base both in India as well as internationally.
"Over the past few years, we have made tremendous progress in developing a very competitive portfolio of next-generation SDH access products and we are gaining significant customer acceptance. The new facility and additional headcount will help us execute our aggressive growth plans as we continue to heavily invest in our R&D as well as customer support functions," said Sanjay Nayak, CEO of Tejas Networks.
