DishnetDSL launches “Ethernet-over-SDH” based Services over its National Backbone Uses Next-generation SDH products from Tejas Networks
Chennai, India, July 10, 2003: DishnetDSL India’s leading Internet Service Provider today announced it’s launch of “Ethernet-Over-SDH” based services over its national backbone. It has deployed Tejas Networks TJ100 family of Next generation SDH products for the same.
DishnetDSL has rolled out a nationwide network with a capacity of STM-4 (622 Mbps). It plans to upgrade its backbone capacity to STM-16 and then on to STM -64 as the traffic grows. In addition to its dialup and DSL services, DishnetDSL offers various differentiated services such as Bandwidth-on-demand, Ethernet-leased lines, Customer Network Management (CNM) and Virtual Private Network (VPN) to its customers.
