HitronTechnologies, Taiwan to use Tejas TJ100 SDH/SONET equipment for Optical transmission in DLC applications
Bangalore, India, May 13, 2003: - Tejas Networks, a leading company in developing and selling optical networking products, announced that HitronTechnologies, Taiwan has decided to use TJ100 SDH/SONET products to constitute the optical transmission part in the Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) applications.
HitronTechnologies Inc. is a leading Taiwanese telecom equipment manufacturer with a strong aptitude in the DLC market. HitronTechnologies will use TJ100 SDH/SONET products for interfacing with their own DLC to offer a comprehensive solution. Tejas and Hitron products will be tightly integrated and managed with a Network Management System (NMS), to provide seamless control and management of the network.

TJ100 SDH/SONET is a family of multi-service products that enable customers to build SDH/SONET networks that can service voice as well as data applications. TJ100 provides NMS solutions to give an integrated management interface at the central location for the remote and distributed nodes consisting of Tejas and Third-party network elements. Traditional voice applications are serviced through E1/E3 interfaces while data applications can be serviced by rate-controllable 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces. Intelligent Network management capabilities, such as automatic discovery of topology and point-and-click provisioning are enabled by advanced software like Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) that runs on every TJ100 product.
