Tejas Networks to create Optical Networking Center of Excellence at JNTU Kakinada

Kakinada, February 12th 2010: Tejas Networks Ltd., a leader in next-generation optical networking products announced that it would create an Optical Networking Center of Excellence (CoE) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The CoE would provide, via an MOU, technology training to faculty; participate in designing curriculum, provide students with project opportunities and also a state-of-the-art optical networking lab on campus. The CoE would also help design and implement an information network connecting the University’s constituents and affiliates. The lab was formally inaugurated today by the Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Govt. of India, Dr. Pallam Raju, an alumnus of the University, who also presided over the signing of the MOU.
